Boxer integrate with VMware Airwatch
VMware intends to acquire software development firm Boxer noted for having a mobile optimized tool for managing personal information, as a solution more in the supply end-user computing company.
Sanjay Poonen announced, general manager for VMware end-user computing, during the celebration of its VMworld Europe, Boxer assets will join the AirWatch unit, specialized in business mobility that VMware acquired in 2014.
Financial details of the acquisition, which is not yet closed, have not been revelados.Destaca that this announcement comes shortly after news that Dell will be done with EMC, VMware’s parent company.
Boxer describes itself as a solution for personal information management companies that offers an approach to mobile application management and security.
It consists of an integrated set of tools email, calendar and contacts mobile applications that work together to help users be more productive whole. It is currently available for mobile devices based on iOS and Android.
The vice president of VMware management products end-user computing, Noah Wasmer explained that “the combination of Boxer and AirWatch by VMware will create a suite of services that enable enterprises to provide employees with secure access to their email access, content and applications. ”
Boxer continue the development of its consumer grade version, which will be available in the Apple iTunes App Store and Google Play store App.
