FlexPod, the joint solution from Cisco and NetApp, turns five
A little less than eighteen months, Cisco and NetApp valued the success of their joint tool, FlexPod, announcing that it had exceeded 3,000 million dollars in sales. Now when marks five years since the launch of its service, which has more than 100 solutions from application designs and infrastructure to enhance productivity and decision results, the balance that make companies even more positive, in line with the continued growth in customers and billing.
Since was launched, in 2010, they have managed to bill 5,600 million dollars between the two companies, and with more than 6,300 customers and 1,100 partners organizations worldwide. And the partners are not satisfied with this level of growth, but are preparing new FlexPod capabilities to reach new business areas.
Among these would be the FlexPod service with OpenStack, a way for businesses to access the cloud open source solutions, the combination with AllFlash FAS NetApp and Cisco ACI, to increase application performance without downtime, or version for SAP applications, with or without Cisco ACI, to run several of these production systems more flexible and secure. Explained in a statement that this catalog of tools and services, organizations can modernize their business technology in a simple way, obtaining better results.
NetApp CEO, George Kurian, said that with FlexPod, customers are guaranteed that “will be developed with the rapidly changing technological and business environment.” For its part, the CEO of Cisco, Chuck Robbins, highlighted the contribution in the preparation of “customers for the next wave of data center transformation.”
